STM On Strike: Please Write Them Cranky Letters Demanding Responses
If you live in Montreal and are affected by the transit strike, please feel free to copy and paste the letter below into an email to:
Mail early and mail often, and feel free to add as many expletives, exclamation marks, and filthy curses as you like--we have already pre-paid for May, and are being short-changed. As well, please cc all your friends, and leave me comments if you find any other more effective guerilla tactics. The STM customer is being hijacked like a stupid goat by both the STM and its unions. Remember: no good guys, no bad guys, just give me the service you pre-charged me for, and are now withholding!

I am LIVID--I paid 65$ at the beginning of this month for FULL transit service, and now on the 22nd of May, I am FORCED to get up from bed 90 minutes earlier, and to end up at work 90 minutes earlier, all because YOU IDIOTS can't take proper care of your employees?!
Are you going to be refunding part of my CAM card? When will this strike be over? I need to know NOW. You say on your site that "busdrivers, ticket booth personnel, and cleaners are not responsible," but you can believe that myself as well as the many other MILLIONS of testy Montreal commuters will be giving them verbal abuse and ugly looks, because we don't CARE what stupid internal bullshit arguments you're having--we just want the service that we PAID FOR IN ADVANCE, you stupid cheap pricks.
I am furious, and without much extra effort, I could easily get another 3,000-5,000 or more furious people at your office's front doors, screaming, complaining, and making your life Hell--more than it already is, you stupid bureaucratic shit.

I suggest that the STM and union management get a 2% pay reduction for each day of the strike.

You are my hero--thanks for this info~! I am getting a little sick, tired, and sweaty of running for metros, being squeezed, pushed, stepped on, and having to live my life based on when people who make 54,000$ a year decide when I should travel. Stupid monkeys!!!
